The first portion of Bishop Budde's message from the January 25th Presidential Inaugural Prayer Service, contained the most eloquent and inviting call for respectful cooperation and functional unity I have ever heard!
But as she continued, her focus shifted, from promoting a truly diverse and informed, caring consensus, to highlighting inflammatory policy disagreements on some of today's most
controversial and socially divisive topics.
Although ideas of unity and showing compassion through mercy remained talking points. Her actions were neither compassionate or merciful as she publicly chastised rather than honoring our newly re-elected President at his own Inaugural Prayer Event.
But we should not be surprised, considering her past social activism in promoting social division. The sermon below clearly shows her commitment to our continuing, "Culture of Change."

Instead of honoring a diverse point of view she disagreed with. Her speech became an opportunity to instruct
and grandstand her support of the causes she preferred to promote. Her disregard was consistent with her cultural view.
If you haven’t noticed yet, we have been living in a, “Culture
of Change,” for some time.
It was President Obama who campaigned on the promise of
bringing, “Change to America.”
And through his administration and continuing
forward a, “Cultural of Change,” truly did come with long deep, lasting roots that we have actively spread across the globe with an intensity comparable to California's wildfires.
US sponsored, "Cultural Change," on a global scale.

Shortly after President Trump's first election, I wrote about a very intense expression of, “Cultural Change.” Our Post Election Riots. It is available in the blog link pictured below. I wrote it immediately after
returning from our visit to Israel.
The series of Post Election, BLM, and George Floyd Riots created a near continuous series of protests that often escalated
from peaceful marches to violent and destructive rioting. Their well organized consistency and effectiveness in securing favorable legislation, as well as their ability to evade legal consequence made their effort much like the, staged outrage riots of, "Kristallnacht, in 1938 and following that ushered in Hitler's forceful, "Cultural Changes," across Germany and much of Europe.
I compare the similarities in tactic and outcome between ours and theirs in the blogpost below.
Now, following his re-election in November, 2024, I wonder. Will it happen again?
And will this unique gesture by Bishop Budde’ help to assuage
the flames of lawless destruction that came at Trump’s first election, or reignite
them? It certainly has gotten a lot of attention. Hopefully it will have a cathartic effect with those sharing it so
vociferously. Hopefully they will follow her words rather than her example and be more merciful to their neighbors and public servants than the protesters of2017 and following.
Consider; were the Bishop’s statements truly about,
“mercy?” Or were they about who we choose to show mercy too? And similarly, who
we should choose to ignore?
Do you think the sermon would have been different if Kamala Harris were
President? Is Kamala Harris truly more merciful in her actions and attitudes than
Donald Trump?
Kamala was not shy about stating her position on social self
control. She shared her perspective very clearly on the Steven Colbert Show in
June of 2020. See it in the link below.
In it she shares her passion and leadership focus. It is
important that we stop and actually listen to hear what she is saying. It is
very clear. She said it over and over.
Repeatedly she stated her approval of the turmoil that was happening on the
streets across America
during the riots. She did not condemn or discourage. Not even the violence and
destruction. This is in direct contrast with the (merciful) theme expressed by
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who preached passive resistance and nonviolence.
This (mercy) was most likely, "the theme,” of the protests she attended as a child
with her parents.
At that time, King’s, “Peaceful,” approach allowed Christian leaders like Billy
Graham to activate large portions of the nation’s Christian community (white,
black and other) across the south to nonviolently (resist) the unjust
segregation laws by voluntarily attending his unsegregated rallies. In effect,
their attendance was a, “protest,” that violated segregation laws.
The, Freedom Riders,” acted in a similar manner, bringing expressions of nonviolent, nondestructive attention that on the surface, appeared to cause much turmoil, as they resisted the segregation laws of the south. But it was not the Freedom Riders that terrorized, assaulted and murdered. Counter activists with their lawless sympathizers attempted to silence the Freedom Riders through brutal murderous persecution.
Unlike Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., California Senator, Kamala Harris did not call for, “Peaceful nonviolence,” Not
with the intimidating Anti-Trump post election riots or with the BLM, George Floyd protest/riots. Kamala repeatedly
called for continuing, unrelenting FORCE. stating that the protests would not
stop? That they absolutely must not stop! Not until they FORCE the Government.
Not by petition or through organized voluntary civic action. But in
submission to activist FORCE the Government must accept the BLM demands.
As I said, I wrote the blog in the link above during that time. The blog is a
contrast of our present cultural movement with another movement that occurred
during the last century. It also intended to change the cultural value system of their nations in just one generation.
Touting superior scientific knowledge through their favored genetic perspectives, they assumed the task of saving humanity from what they viewed as genetic degradation. Like the assumed need for the social changes of today, their extreme cultural changes disrupted human ethics and religious beliefs and created social division.
Have you ever stopped to question the cost of the, "Changes," that are being demanding of you? Are you ever tempted to just seek comfort and avoid conflict by joining the defiant crowd and mindlessly parroting their loyal sentiments in our
ever-fluctuating, “Culture of Change?” It truly is the path of least resistance.
The events of Kristallnacht represented one of the most important turning points in National Socialist antisemitic policy. Historians have noted that after the pogrom, anti-Jewish policy was concentrated more and more concretely into the hands of the SS. Moreover, the passivity with which most German civilians responded to the violence signaled to the Nazi regime that the German public was prepared for more radical measures. "(emphasis added)
Among them the refusal of insurance companies to pay for reparations from the riots and the purging of the Reichstag of those holding politically incorrect views.
See Monument below.
No it's not a stone bicycle rack.
While in Germany years earlier, when we visited to reunite with my birth family. We also visited the Reichstag building in Berlin, (comparable to our Senate). In front of the building is a very small, very unusual monument. It was created to recognize the 96 members of the German congress who spoke out against the Nazi narrative. The Reichstag is where they unsuccessfully challenged the edicts followed by the newly formed, "Ministry of Information." Through the, Ministry, the Nazi narrative was advanced throughout the German culture and into the German public school system. It was celebrated by many, especially those in Hitler's Youth Corp. Large portions of this Nazi narrative were also incorporated into many of Germany's churches due to it's seeming popularity and to avoid future discrimination.
Each slate slab in the monument represents one politician, with his name, his political party, and the date and location of his death. Most died while imprisoned in concentration camps.
This monument is small in size and easy to disregard, like the effect of their voices, even as it occupies a place of honor in front of the Reichstag building.
The video below presents an eyewitness account from the perspective of a ten year old girl who experienced the narrative of the day. She lived in Austria and describes her excitement with the promises of a central planned Socialist State and the powerful cultural changes that came during the annexation of Austria.
A similar event, in the style of the Kristrallnacht uprising occurred in our 2016 (Post Election Riots of Moral Outrage) Date: November 9,10,11,12, 2016 Location: Portland, Oregon and across the USA. Earlier that November I had visited Israel with my son and his fiance'. Here I am at Israel's Holocaust Museum, #YadVashem Memorial.
At YadVashem I was graphically reintroduced to #Kristallnacht, or the, "Night of Broken Glass," and all that came with it. My experience motivated my original post in November of 2016.
Three days after returning home from my Israel trip a youth led movement eventually became much like a "(k)ristallnacht." It was taking place at the city where I worked. At first it took the form of a regular protest as it started with youthful protesters marching, which...
quickly turned too.
A narrative of violent intimidation which continued for days.
So what makes these events similar?
It was on Kristallnacht in 1938 that Germany's youth rose up and acted
out the #politicallycorrect teachings championed in their schools.
It was on Kristallnacht in 1938 that the German Youth Corp forcefully implemented the Progressive ideals of their time by moving beyond acts of subtle discrimination to acts of violent intimidation.
The link below is to a well detailed article on European and
American #Progressive social philosophy during the preware period including how these views even extended into
California State Supreme Court decisions and were later used as a defense in the Nuremberg Trials by Nazi war criminals.
These progressive values were also foundational in the implementation of many of
America's social and health care policies. Policies that many in our black community find discriminatory and offensive.

It was on Kristallnacht in 1938 that the press and political
leadership of Germany accelerated the seeming explosion of "spontaneous, retaliatory" violence and
destruction into the streets of occupied Europe. Earlier they had endorsed acts of discrimination. But now widespread physical violence and destruction were seen as heroic acts of the people's will. This allowed them to move forward to eventually seize all Jewish property. It created the sanction for indiscriminate public executions and progressed their cause toward eventual mass
genocide.
While visiting Israel, our Israeli guide reported
that He had grandparents who survived the Holocaust and became the sole
representative of their two families. Both were widowed as a result of the
genocide. They met and married on a kibbutz after fleeing to Israel. He and
his family continue to live on a kibbutz.
Like the progressive leader in Germany in 1938, our presiding President, in 2016, President Obama, took a position of passive understanding and
acceptance of the riots in hopes to avoid escalation. The State Governor of Oregon went even farther to offer condolences.
TWO YEARS EARLIER....
With Malheur, this same Governor, Kate Brown was not so amicable to protesters who challenged her values. It was on Wed, Jan 21st, 2016 that Governor Kate Brown demanded an end to the protest at Malheur Wildlife Refuge, ending the nonviolent phase stating... “This SPECTACLE of LAWLESSNESS must end! ... I WILL NOT STOP INSISTING that Federal Officials ENFORCE THE LAW!”
Within three days a key spokesperson from the group would be stopped in a road block and gunned down in an ambush in route to a nursing home facility while transporting a female vocalist. See story in the (link) below.
This reaction of government leadership to pardon and condone overt acts of violence and anarchist destruction, while harshly punishing more subtle expressions of resistance, protest and negotiation is appalling. In looking at the two groups, What patterns do you see that cause you concern?
Personally...
Although these men, expressing their grievances at the refuge posed a potential threat by openly brandishing firearms. Their pattern of action was consistently non threatening. This can be clearly seen in the sequence of videos in the playlist above created from varied sources.
The only casualty was one of failed police protocol much like the death of George Floyd.
The Malheur Protesters presented themselves as strong, but refused to threaten or act destructively in a way that would cause overt acts intimidation or fear. Their behavior and actions in the town were nonthreatening and non disruptive.
(Disclaimer)
Irresponsible and destructive acts did occur in the seeming privacy of the wildlife refuge and appropriate consequences were levied against the perpetrators of these acts in the form of fines and detainment after the protest ended.
Compare the handling of George Floyd and Levoy Finicum.
The State and Federal Government response with Finicum also failed. It failed by escalating this case, even as happened with George Floyd. But here the prejudice of administrative power is shown in an unprovoked homicidal confrontation with Federal and State Police ordered by the Governor that ended the life of Mr. Finicum. It was not a failure to understand the urgent need for medical care. It was a preplanned, well orchestrated public execution. Have you seen the continuous event body cam footage of the George Floyd confrontation, containment and demise.
(period of increased attention to crowd and reduce attention to George)
Police ambulance arrives at minute 19:41
Placed on ambulance gurney at minute 20:40
Doors on ambulance close at minute 21:58

medical care at scene. 4:58
And yet their careless or possibly even calloused actions were considered criminal resulting in the criminal sentences listed below.
"In 2021, Chauvin was sentenced to 22 ½ years in state prison for Floyd's murder. He also received a 21-year-federal sentence for violating Floyd's civil rights." Three other Minneapolis officers who helped with restraining Floyd were convicted of depriving Floyd of his right to medical care. J. Alexander Kueng was sentenced to three years, Tou Thao to 3 1/2 years and Thomas Lane to 2 1/2 years.
The reaction of government leadership to pardon and condone overt acts of violence and destruction in the anarchist riots, while harshly punishing more subtle expressions of power is criminal in my opinion.
The tragedy of George Floyd's Death was appalling! But it was not a well planned intentionally staged event that was almost guaranteed to end with the execution of a beloved provider, husband and father of eleven children.
In regard to the Malheaur Protesters;
Our Constitution guarantees their right to both bear arms in a nonthreatening manner and redress our government with their grievance through petition and protests. This group did both as well as actively lessening the potential for intimidation and disturbance by conducting their protests away from population centers.
In 2016, I wrote that, "We need to exercise caution or we may find ourselves
continuing down the road laid by Germany’s Brown Shirts."
These Brown Shirts were not fringe group outsiders. The were the progressive expression of change promoted through the German Public School System. A system devoted to the progressive changes that were being promoted in their culture even as they were across the globe. Hitler was not alone in his dream.
What made it unique was their unfounded confidence in their current level of understanding and problem solving. It was their unwavering devotion to change without regard for the values of past generations.
Adolf Hitler May Day 1933 When an opponent declares, "I will not come over to your side," I calmly say, "Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community."
“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.”
(Are we already too late?)
The petri
dish where destructive groups like anarchists, Nazis, the Taliban, and the
KKK gain their power is in the fear that
mob action creates. Mob action was the result of BLM activism, but not the Malheaur Protest. In fact it was motivated by a land management disagreement over suppressing wildfires on Federal Lands that adjoined private property. The father of the primary leader of the protest group had been imprisoned for illegally backburning a portion of Federal Land adjoining his property. It is a very effective forestry management strategy that could have saved billions in loss and damage if implemented. But back to protests.
The augar that feeds mob distruction and chaos is the division and lack of civil
discipline, #WeThePeople," exhibit. It is our willingness to act out against each other without being fully informed. This is the, "Chaos," that Mao stated was, "Perfect."
Street protest is our LAST, not first mode of communication
because of the volatility and confusion it creates and the destruction and loss it imposes. Protests should be a form of attention getting communication. Not a form of punishment. In the fervor of chaos, details are lost in the manipulation and generalities replace the facts.
Street protests becomes necessary only when all other means fail. These often unnecessary disruption create confusion and waste valuable resources by placing huge expense on local communities.
The Post-Election actions of November 9 -11,
And these most recent...
Post George Floyd death/ Black Lives Matter, (Riots of Moral Outrage) once again in the (k)ristrallnacht (style)

Location: Portland, Oregon and across the GLOBE.
These are acts of social destruction. They are the opposite of productive civil disobedience because their message was been hijacked.
You don't add fuel to a hijacked plane.
You dump the fuel.
The protesters are being played as pawns by the Anarchists
and the very Media that promotes and profits off the negative and divisive
aspects of the the chaos they create. They foster a shallow, easy to share media market where truly informative content doesn't progress.
It continuously rewards hyperbole and outrage with the spotlight of their attention. We have relinquished the reigns of journalistic research and discipline to the
profiteers and gossips.
We have failed to create a thirst for wisdom and
perspective among, "We The People."
For those with a genuine desire to improve America, we would accomplish far more by volunteering in our communities, writing our representatives and working to benefit those living in our homes.
Home is where values are traditionally
taught through modeling and precept.
Following is an excellent article on who holds power over
shaping the lives of our children. It was written in response to the complaint of President Trump being a compromised moral example to their children.
With the rejection of the traditional
Judaeo-Christian family and it's values, the modern nuclear family is being reshaped along
media induced progressive guidelines in much the same way as happened in Pre-War Germany.
In 2016: I wrote that,
"In
time we will find out if we are going to have a similar outcome." (to the changes experience in Pre-War Germany)
I only hope that here in 2020 it is not too late.
Or like so many others we may soon find that the anarchist in charge no longer favor protests.
Youth uprisings after anarchist control. It really didn't seem that bad at the start. It's really not that bad, No not really
